With a TeleMedicine appointment, you will be able to meet with your Palmetto Physical Medicine provider through video conferencing. It’s similar to the face to face video apps most of us are already using on our smartphones to stay in touch with family and friends. And because it’s made specifically for online medical appointments and people of all ages, it is easy and secure:
- There’s no need to download anything – You won’t need to download any software or an app. You also do not need to create an account. A representative will call you prior to your appointment to get all of your necessary information.
- It’s easy, just select the link we send you – We will send you a link to access your TeleMedicine appointment at your scheduled time. All you need to do is select the link from your smartphone or computer and enable your camera and microphone and you will be video conferencing with your provider.
- It’s private and secure – Your appointment is private and your information is not stored or shared. Your appointment is HIPAA compliant and secure.
- It’s covered by many health insurance plans – Medicare and many health insurance plans will cover the cost of TeleMedicine appointments.

A representative will call you prior to your scheduled TeleMedicine appointment time to get any insurance and other information to assist our office staff with updating your patient record or pertinent information to share with your provider prior to your TeleMedicine appointment just as they do when you come to an appointment at our office. - Click the link provided
At your scheduled appointment time, simply click on the link provided to you. Your provider will be alerted that you are ready for the appointment.
FAQs
New patients
If you are a new patient, we will email you our new patient forms to complete before your scheduled TeleMedicine appointment time. Existing patients should not need to fill out additional paperwork.
Follow-up care
If your provider determines that you need follow-up care, you can make a follow-up appointment after your TeleMedicine appointment.
Billing and payment
Our team will update your patient chart, submit insurance claims and send billing statements for remaining balances the same as if you were at an in-person appointment.
Tips
We are confident in the quality of our video sound and viewing experience. Some users report that sound is further improved by using earphones. If for any reason your connection is lost, simply log back into your appointment by using the link provided.
